Leading Edge Computers: Word Processing Installation Guide

The Leading Edge Word Processing software pack came packaged with a handy installation guide to direct the user in the process of successfully installing the software to their computer's hard drive or to extract the installation onto "operating" floppy disks. The installation guide is a small brochure‐like 15‐page booklet with pre‐punched holes for the software pack's small three‐ringed binder where it resides when not in use. The booklet offers the user a quick look at what is needed for a complete yet efficient installation of the Word Processing software onto the earlier mentioned "operating disks" or onto the user's hard drive if available.

The installation guide also guided the user through the process of creating "working copies" of Leading Edge Word Processing Tutorial, which was used by the end‐user to interactively learn how to use the newly‐installed software, and a working copy of the Spelling Disk, which helped the end‐user provide better written, more easily understood, and professional‐looking documents to present to the reader of the document.

Additionally, an optional installation procedure for the user's printer to work with the software was provided. The user simply needed to follow the simple instructions and select the desired printer from a list of available printers and confirm the selection.
