Many of Leading Edge's computer hardware offerings came pre−loaded with software directly from the factory. The software fulfillment offer certificate for Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Works for Windows allowed users who had purchased a Leading Edge computer with pre−installed software to acquire physical copies of the software for back−up purposes. The user only had to fill in the required information into the certificate and provide payment of $29.95 and tax. Leading Edge would then return a set of 3.5" master copy disks of Microsoft Windows and Works for Windows.

In the early 1990s, computer manufacturers like Leading Edge often pre−installed software programs directly onto the hard drives of new systems. To provide customers with a means of safeguarding these pre−loaded applications, a "Software Fulfillment Offer Certificate" was issued. This certificate served as a document for users who desired master copies of their software for backup purposes. These backup diskettes were intended to allow users to restore their programs if their hard disk became corrupted.

The certificate explained that customers could create their own backup copies using the MS−DOS Backup & Restore Command, referencing the DOS Manual for instructions. Additionally, it noted the inclusion of an "MS−Windows Supplemental Disk" (Disk #6) for loading printer drivers to ensure program compatibility with a user's printer.

For those who preferred professionally replicated master disks, the certificate provided an option to purchase them directly. This offer allowed customers to acquire a set of disks for their system up to six months after the initial system purchase. It was explicitly stated that this certificate did not supersede any software license agreements from Leading Edge or the original software publishers.

The document detailed how customers could order these backup disks. They could order by mail, fax, or phone. Mail orders required cutting along a dotted line on the form and sending it with payment to "Leading Edge Fulfillment, fax orders could be sent with a credit card number, while phone orders could be placed by calling the 1−800 number. All orders, regardless of method, required the computer system's serial number for fulfillment. Payment options included check, money order, or credit card and checks were to be made payable to "Leading Edge Products,".

The specific software offered through this fulfillment certificate included Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Works for Windows. A set of factory−installed software programs on 3.5" disks cost $29.95 plus applicable sales tax.
