keyboards DC‐2014 Keyboard The Leading Edge DC‐2014 keyboard was a mechanical keyboard that was generally bundled with the Model D computer. Due to it having been bundled with the Model D, it was therefore the most ubiquitous of Leading Edge's keyboards. The keyboard was an XT interface, with blue Alps key‐switches and 83 keys. The overall design of the keyboard was a simple rectangular beige plastic case with adjustable feet on the bottom. Directly above the top row of keys was a pen or pencil holder that extended about 75% of the length of the keyboard starting from the right. Although the DC‐2014 keyboard was bundled with what was often considered a budget computer, the keyboard had such a high‐quality build that in the present, it is often sought after to use with a modern computer or have parts harvested for a custom keyboard. More… DC‐2214 Keyboard The Leading Edge DC‐2214 keyboard was a mechanical keyboard that was often bundled with the MT33 computer. The keyboard featured a PS/2 connector on a coiled wire, Alps key switches (this one featured Alps white key switches) and a full‐sized ANSI keyboard layout. The top of the keyboard featured the Leading Edge triple triangle logo to the left with a convenient pen and pencil holder spanning most of the top portion of the keyboard just to the right of the logo. More… KB 5191 Keyboard The Leading Edge KB‐5191 keyboard was included in‐box with the D2 Plus computer. The keyboard was a 101‐key ANSI mechanical keyboard with subtle clickyness sporting white Futaba PCB mounted key switches, though KB‐5191 keyboards could be equipped with other key switches. Measuring 19" by 7", the keyboard was a standard ANSI layout full‐sized keyboard with dedicated cursor keys and 10‐key number pad.
