How to Play

Objective

  • Save LE Bot from decommission.
  • Solve the hidden phrase before the robot is fully assembled on the gallows.

How the Trial Works

  1. A random vintage computing phrase is selected from the Leading Edge archive.
  2. Select letters to reveal the hidden phrase.
  3. Correct guesses uncover matching letters in the puzzle.
  4. Incorrect guesses add a robot body part to the gallows.

Miss Limit

  • You may make up to six incorrect guesses per round.
  • Each miss adds one body segment:
  • Head
  • Torso
  • Right Arm
  • Left Arm
  • Right Leg
  • Left Leg

Once all six parts appear, LE Bot is decommissioned and the session ends.


Scoring

  • Winning a round earns points.
  • Each incorrect guess reduces your round score by ten points.
  • Minimum round win score: fifty points.

Session Play

  • You may continue playing new rounds after each successful verdict.
  • Your score accumulates across rounds.
  • The session ends only when you reach six misses in a single round.

High Score Potential

There is no maximum score limit. Maintain a winning streak and your total can grow indefinitely.
